Marlene is an associate of Willson Lewis LLP. She practises litigation with particular emphasis on matrimonial and construction law, as well as civil and commercial litigation matters, including mortgage enforcement. Her construction clients include general contractors, subcontractors and owners.
Marlene has extensive experience in registering Claims for Lien and the lien litigation process. She advises clients with respect to various contractor/owner relationships and she provides advice and counsel regarding the preparation of construction contracts at different levels in the construction pyramid. She also handles all manner of family law matters including separation agreements, divorce, property division and custody disputes.
Marlene has litigated successfully at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court, attending on motions, applications, pre-trials and trials. Marlene has attended on mediations and successfully resolved numerous disputes on behalf of clients.
Marlene has been a speaker at the Toronto Construction Association concerning lien rights and collection. She is a frequent contributor to the National Credit News providing articles on various subjects related to litigation, collections and debt enforcement.
